 | Stephanie Georgieff, is a Board
Certified Licensed Acupuncturist (License Number #AC11743), and Naturopath serving Orange County. She completed her Masters
of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.She
completed her Naturopathic Medical Training at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1988, when there was no licensing
program in the State of California.
As a pioneer in the Natural Medicine
movement in California, Dr. Georgieff has had an eclectic career path which includes numerous private medical settings, speaking
and educational appointments. |
| Included
in her background is collaboration with Dr. Julie Ralls of Newport Beach, where she served as the staff Naturopath in a family
medicine practice, as well as working with South coast Midwifery in a similar position with the midwifery practice of Lori
Walker, Certified Nurse Midwife. Dr. Georgieff has taught numerous classes in all aspects
of Natural Medicine, from Medicinal Herbalism, Nutrition to Homeopathy at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, the Jocelyn
Senior Center in Claremont, St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange and at the Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento. She led a
colloquium at the Medical College of the University of California at Irvine where she mentored students and interns interested
in Integrative medicine, sponsored study groups between Orthodox and Alternative practitioners, and addressed grand rounds
on numerous aspects of Natural Medicine practice within the Orthodox Medical environment. She is currently teaching through
Community Services at Santa Ana College on Well Child care and Optimal Elder Health. Dr. Georgieff hosted a call in radio
program broadcast on WALE in New England for several years in the mid-1990’s, entitled Green Medicine, Healing Our Bodies
in Harmony with the Earth. This show covered politics and environmental issues surrounding medical choices, long before the
words “sustainability and Green” became household terms. She volunteers through numerous civic and church organizations,
and is a frequent speaker at Copia, The American Center for Wine Food and the Arts where she is a garden docent.
Dr. Georgieff’s Acupuncture experience includes volunteering at community clinics
while at school, two quarters of clinical externship through the Davies Medical Center in San Francisco Stroke Rehabilitation
Ward, and as an office assistant under Fertility Expert Dr. LiFang Liang for a year. She is also part of the Acupuncturists
without Borders network of providers, initiating mobile clinics to serve disaster victims in the United States, in addition
to returning Iraq Veterans initiatives. She now serves on the Board of Directors for Acupuncturists without Borders. While
focusing on Family Medical Practice, Dr. Georgieff also is experienced in Fertility Enhancement, Women’s health issues,
Asthma and Allergies and can assist in addiction treatment for smoking, alcohol and weight loss.
This varied and lengthy career and educational background enables Stephanie Georgieff to approach health concerns
of her patients from a full range of modalities. Her approach works well in combination with orthodox therapies, and she can
offer her clients a full spectrum of Natural Medicine options to address health conditions ranging from acute to chronic in
their scope. |
